Julie Peeters & Scott Ponik

A conversation on graphic design.

Julie Peeters (b. 1983, Hasselt) is a graphic designer living in Brussels. She mostly collaborates with artists on printed matter and designs several identities for cultural institutions worldwide. She has a particular interest in the printed image and is the editor of a quarterly book series for Kunstverein München. Peeters studied at Jan van Eyck Akademie and Werkplaats Typografie. She teaches graphic design in KASK and Gerrit Rietveld Academy.

Scott Ponik (b. 1977, Los Angeles) is a designer and book buyer. He has recently designed exhibitions for Marianne Wex, Susan Howe, and Yuji Agematsu, and publications for Martha Wilson, George Kuchar, The Artist’s Institute, and the forthcoming book ZIP: 01-01-14…12-31-14 by Agematsu, designed with Julie Peeters. Ponik lives and works in Portland, OR, where he is co-developing the art center Yale Union, and the shop Stand Up Comedy.
